Vladimir V. Tarasov

Position: First Deputy Director General, Director of Design Bureau "Aviaavtomatika", and Chief Designer.

Vladimir V. Tarasov is responsible for all the questions connected with the mastering of new competitive products, and advanced technologies.

Vladimir Vladimirovich Tarasov, Russian, was born in Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod) on the 10th of June in 1938.

He graduated from Gorky State University in 1960.

The acquired profession is radiophysics engineer.

He has been working in Kursk "Pribor" plant since 1960 in the following positions:
1960 - 1962 - research engineer,
1962 - 1965 - senior research engineer,
1965 - 1969 - deputy department head,
1969 - 1974 - head of department,
1974 - 1975 - deputy chief designer,
1975 - 1978 - chief designer,
1978 - 1996 - Chief Designer of Design Bureau "Aviaavtomatika", Deputy Director General of Kursk "Pribor" plant.

Nowadays he is a Director of Design Bureau "Aviaavtomatika", Chief Designer and First Deputy Director General of Kursk "Pribor" JSC.

All Russian fighters and all exported fighters are equipped with the stores management systems, which have been developed under his direction. Due to his energies for the last five years "Aviaavtomatika" Design Bureau has become a recognised leader in the development and manufacture of flight data recorders. All developments carried out in the design bureau are based on the latest achievements in the field of computer engineering and CAD system. Diversification, restructuring and target program realised for developing and mastering of high-tech products let the enterprise take part in programs for MiG-21, MiG-29, Su-27, and Su-30.

Vladimir V. Tarasov is a State Prize Laureate. He was also awarded the "Honorary aircraft builder", "Honoured designer of the Russian Federation", "Best in quality in Aviation Industry Department", "Honoured worker of Kursk area industry", "For valiant labour" medals and the order "Order". He is an author of 14 inventions asserted by patents and inventor's certificates of the USSR and the Russian Federation.

His managerial abilities and sociability permit him to find new ideas and co-operators. Collaboration with basic aeronautical enterprises and institutes has helped the "Aviaavtomatika" and its Chief Designer to earn a reputation as a leader in the aeronautical industry.

The developed avionics is employed in Russian aircraft. The Design Bureau "Aviaavtomatika" has stood severe competition considerably due to professionalism of its Chief Designer. Nowadays it is taking part in contracts for the sale of combat aircraft abroad.

The Chief Designer is a reliable and determined person, respected by his colleagues.

Everything forethought by the Chief Designer including perspective avionics, industrial automatics has become a reality by now.
