History

The enterprise was created as a brunch of Ramenskoye OKB-149 on 13.11.58. The first purpose of the design bureau was development and modernisation of navigation devices and systems, as well as help to "Pribor" plant in mastering of new products.

In 1973 the Design Bureau became a part of "Pribor" Manufacture and Development association as a design bureau developing indicators of aircraft moving parts, stores management system units, and balance and center-of-gravity automatic units.

In 1994 the Design Bureau was registered as "Aviaavtomatika" Design Bureau.

The "Aviaavtomatika" develops avionics in compliance with contracts including ones made by Defence Department.

The following aircraft are equipped with stores management systems:

• MiG-29, MiG-21, MiG-31, etc;
• Su-24, Su-25, Su-27, Su-30, etc;
• Mi-28;
• Ka-29, Ka-50;
• A-40.

V.V. Tarasov, the Chief Designer, has been awarded the title of a State Prize Laureate for the development of the stores management system for Su-24M aircraft. S.P. Lisov, the Deputy Chief Designer, has been awarded the title of a State Prize Laureate for the development of the stores management system for Su-22M aircraft.

Indication devices developed by the "Aviaavtomatika" are installed in civil aircraft of Tu and Il types.

In 1996 the "Aviaavtomatika" started the development of airborne flight data recorders.

As conversion products the following items were developed: portable apparatus "Artificial kidney" for mobile hospitals; apparatus AK-1 of blood detoxication for catastrophe medicine; automated systems for control of technological procedure.

Nowadays the "Aviaavtomatika" is a recognised leader in the development of stores management systems, interface units, flight data recorders for future and modernised aircraft.

• Interface units coupling aircraft with weapons;
• Airborne systems for flight data monitoring and recording;
• Protected Memory Modules;
• On-ground systems for flight data processing and analysis;
• Jammer Control Systems.
